Revelation 6

Overview:

v.11

Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed.

v.13-14

and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. 14The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.

v.17

For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?"

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand. (Romans 5:1-2)

I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received and in which you stand. (1 Corinthians 15:1)

Testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand. (1 Peter 5:12)

The believer can stand in the face of this great wrath of God because Jesus already bore the wrath the believer deserved.
