Chapters 1-4: Kingly birth and Kingdom Invitation Chapters 5-7: Kingdom Manifesto (Sermon on the Mount) Chapters 8-25: Administering and Explaining the Kingdom Chapters 26-28: Jesus Dies and Conquers Death
Purposes: 1. To suggest to a Jewish audience that Jesus is a better Moses (through the five discourses) 2. To strengthen and encourage Jewish Christians in their suffering of persecution
Messages: 1. To show that Jesus is King 2. Jesus rules and reigns over all things.

But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
v.21¶
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
v.23¶
"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"—which means, "God with us."
